About The Position

Massasoit Community College is seeking Adjunct Faculty for Spanish to teach in-person day classes for the Academic Year 2026-2027. Adjunct faculty assignments can be in-person, online, hybrid, or video conferencing formats, and may take place on Massasoit's Brockton and Canton campuses, in local high schools, or as part of early college courses. Professors are expected to collaborate in creating a learner-centered environment that prioritizes student learning and success, utilizing active and collaborative teaching techniques with real-world applications. This pool is valid through June 30, 2027, and applicants wishing to remain in the pool must reapply and update their information thereafter. Adjunct Faculty are part-time instructors hired on an as-needed basis, with potential for day, night, or weekend positions at various instructional sites. Positions are contingent upon sufficient enrollment, and qualified applicants will be contacted by the academic department.

Requirements

• A Master's degree in the discipline, Master's degree with 18 graduate hours in the discipline, or native speaker with International or National recognized certification in Spanish.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a diverse faculty, staff, and student body.

Nice To Haves

• Community college teaching experience or experience teaching high school students.
• Familiarity with learning management systems and other remote learning technology.
