About The Position

The College of Social Sciences and Humanities and its nine tenure units are the home of the Experiential Liberal Arts. Through its research, teaching, and engagement missions, the college collaborates across the university, the Northeastern network, and partners around the globe. The Department of Sociology and Anthropology in the College of Social Sciences and Humanities seeks applicants to teach an undergraduate course in the Sociology of Sex, Gender, and Popular Culture on the Northeastern University Oakland campus. Positions are available throughout the year contingent upon enrollment and departmental need.

Requirements

  • M.A. required
  • Must be able to maintain valid work authorization in the United States throughout the entire appointment without Northeastern University’s sponsorship for a visa.

Nice To Haves

  • Ph.D. or A.B.D. preferred
  • Preference will be given to persons experienced in teaching large and diverse groups of students.
