About The Position
Adjunct faculty members facilitate students' achievement of course objectives and prepare college students to matriculate through the undergraduate program.
Requirements
- Master's degree (or 18 hours of graduate course work) in English or Composition/Rhetoric from an accredited university
- Ability to teach effectively (both online and in traditional settings) at the university level
- Background check clearance
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office software
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for visa sponsorship. The University will not sponsor applicants for work visas (e.g., H-1B).
Nice To Haves
- Ph.D. in English or Composition/Rhetoric
- Experience with online course delivery and instruction
- Experience with Canvas technology
Responsibilities
- Online and face-to-face course delivery and instruction
- Prepare and submit syllabi, grades, and other required course documentation in a timely manner
- Communicate course requirements and expectations to students
- Perform other duties as assigned
