Adjunct Faculty: School of Arts & Humanities - Theatre - Residential and Online
About The Position
The School of Arts and Humanities at Cedarville University is seeking adjunct faculty to teach Theatre courses for its undergraduate Art, Design and Theatre program. These positions can be either residential (on-campus) or online. Adjuncts will be responsible for teaching courses according to established objectives and syllabi, providing feedback to students, and maintaining academic credentials. These are temporary, part-time positions utilized as needed throughout the academic year. All positions are subject to Cedarville University policies, credential verification, background checks, and legal requirements. While primarily located in Cedarville, Ohio, remote work may be available in certain states, excluding California and Hawaii.
Requirements
- M.F.A. in Theatre Performance, Design, or a bachelor’s degree with active pursuit of M.F.A.
- Demonstrable professional expertise and experience in the discipline to be taught with professional portfolio (design) or CV/reel (performance).
- Documented successful teaching experience.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Competency in online delivery systems.
- Qualified applicant must be a born-again Christian.
- Applicants must agree with and be willing to abide by Cedarville University's Doctrinal Statement, Community Covenant, and General Work Place Standards.

Responsibilities
- Teaching courses in adherence to the course objectives, the syllabus, and content developed by the Department of Art, Design, and Theatre.
- Providing timely and constructive feedback to students.
- Motivating and assisting students in completion of course learning objectives.
- Maintaining academic credentials and expertise in the discipline to be taught.
- Adhering to University instructional standards.
