These part-time Adjunct Faculty positions are designed to support our growing student enrollment for the 2026-2027 Academic Year at our Stephenville campus and online community. Successful candidates may teach up to six (6) semester credit hours in their respective disciplines, delivering instruction in person, through approved instructional modalities, or as necessitated by student demand. Additionally, they will be expected to hold office hours and provide necessary support to students. Serves as a Campus Security Authority (CSA). The Master's in Public Health is pending SACSCOC approval.

Requirements

Earned master’s degree in Public Health or a closely related field from an accredited university with a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in Public Health or the teaching discipline.
Demonstrated ability to teach undergraduate and/or graduate Public Health courses effectively.
Effective written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to utilize instructional technologies and learning management systems such as Canvas, to support course delivery and student engagement.

Nice To Haves

Earned doctorate/terminal degree (PhD, DrPH or a closely related field) from an accredited institution with graduate coursework appropriate to the teaching discipline.
Previous teaching experience in higher education, particularly in online or hybrid instructional format.
Professional experience in Public Health practice, healthcare systems, health administration, community health, or related areas.
Experience using Canvas or similar learning management systems.
Relevant professional certifications such as CHES/MCHES or CPH.
Expertise in one or more areas of Public Health instruction.

Responsibilities

Teach online undergraduate and/or graduate Public Health courses as assigned.
Design, prepare, and deliver course instruction in a fully online learning environment using the institution’s learning management system (Canvas).
Develop and maintain course syllabi, instructional materials, assignments, and assessments aligned with course objectives and program standards.
Facilitate an engaging online learning environment that supports student participation, interaction, and critical thinking.
Maintain regular and timely communication with students in the online course environment.
Evaluate student performance and provide timely, constructive feedback on assignments and assessments.
Monitor and document student progress, including grading, attendance (as applicable), and academic reporting requirements.
Utilize instructional technologies and multimedia tools to support effective online teaching and student engagement.
Provide virtual academic support to students, including scheduled online office hours and course-related guidance.
Adhere to university policies, academic integrity standards, and applicable accreditation requirements.
Hold office hours and provide necessary support to students.
Serves as a Campus Security Authority (CSA).
