About The Position

Carolinas College of Health Sciences is seeking an adjunct faculty member in Psychology for its Early College program. The role performs instructional and clinical-related duties in a timely manner and in accordance with the college's mission, policies, and procedures. The faculty member supports students in meeting course learning outcomes through instruction in classroom, clinical, or laboratory settings, and contributes to course, student, curriculum, and clinical-unit evaluation. The position is part-time and lists 16 hours per week.

Requirements

Master's degree with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in the discipline.

Nice To Haves

Minimum of 2 years of post-secondary teaching experience and/or clinical experience.

Responsibilities

Use current, traditional, and innovative teaching methodologies in classroom, clinical, or laboratory settings to help students meet course learning outcomes.
Participate in comprehensive evaluations of courses, students, program curriculum, and clinical units.
Complete end-of-term responsibilities as directed, including providing copies of exams, attendance records, and other designated materials to the Program Chair.
Be available for individual student conferences and instruction based on student learning needs, and serve as a resource to colleagues.
Maintain proficiency in learner-centered instruction through distance delivery mechanisms.
Participate in developing syllabi and courses with the Program Chair.
