Adjunct Faculty refers to an educator hired to teach on a course by course basis throughout an academic year. Instruction may be delivered on-campus, off-campus, or online and may be during the day and/or evening as dictated by student demand and departmental needs. The role involves developing and managing the class syllabus, planning and creating lectures, in-class discussions, and assignments, assessing grades, and assisting/mentoring students.
