About The Position

Adjunct faculty are hired to teach a semester basis. Adjunct and full time faculty must attend the paralegal studies faculty meetings held each semester. Currently in need of qualified applicants to teach Paralegal courses.

Requirements

  • Law degree (Juris Doctorate) from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the PA bar or the bar of another state (license need not be active, but may not be subject to suspension or disciplinary action)
  • At least 2 years of legal experience in the legal subject matter covered in the course
  • Experience working with paralegals
  • Valid Driver's License

Nice To Haves

  • Post-secondary school teaching experience (Teaching at CLEs or seminars is included)
  • Remote teaching experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Background or expertise in administrative law
  • Demonstrated experience in overseeing, mentoring, and supervising student internships

Responsibilities

  • Provides academic instruction and student academic support for assigned classes.
  • Performs tasks designed to ensure the quality and consistency of academic instruction.
  • Adjunct faculty must develop instructional methods for their assigned course(s).
  • The instructional methods must pertain to the course(s) learning outcomes and course catalog description.
