Drake University’s Occupational Therapy Doctorate Program invites applications for an Adjunct Faculty position in Occupational Therapy to teach one 3-credit hour research course in fall 2026. Duties include design, planning and delivery of classes, evaluation of student performance/skills, assign grades, and periodic interactions with students outside of the classroom to discuss student progress. This Adjunct Faculty of Occupational Therapy at Drake University will be a part-time, non-tenure track position for the fall 2026 semester. The adjunct faculty member will plan and teach one research course: the third course in the research series focused on the collection and analysis of data with 2nd year students. Ongoing responsibilities include classroom preparation, teaching and grading.

Requirements

  • Occupational Therapist licensed in the state of Iowa.
  • Demonstrate expertise in the research process.
  • General knowledge and expertise in common clinical conditions treated by occupational therapists, evidence-based practice, clinical reasoning and critical analysis are required.

  • Applicants with a minimum of 5 years paid clinical experience are preferred.
