About The Position

Norwich University is seeking an Adjunct Faculty member for its MSN NP Programs. This position is responsible for educating MSN students in both classroom and clinical settings. The role involves service to the school, university, and profession, participation in faculty development, and engagement in the School of Nursing's Strategic Evaluation Plan. The faculty member will actively participate in the School of Nursing community, including attending faculty meetings as indicated. The position requires an active, unencumbered RN license and an active, unencumbered APRN license in specific states, with eligibility and willingness to obtain a VT APRN license upon appointment. Pay is determined by the number of credits taught and students enrolled.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree required; Doctorate preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a nurse practitioner.
  • Active, unencumbered multistate RN license.
  • Active, unencumbered APRN license in one or more of the following states: PA, GA, MN, MO, OK, OR, WA.
  • Eligible for VT APRN license and willingness to obtain at the time of appointment.
  • Current National Board Certification in one or more of the following specialties: Psychiatric-Mental Health NP, Family NP, Acute Care Adult Gerontology NP.
  • Current clinical practice as a nurse practitioner.
  • Evidence of effective teaching.
  • Service to profession or community through membership in professional or community service organizations.
  • Commitment to contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring immigration sponsorship.
