About The Position

Ivy Tech Community College - Terre Haute Campus is recruiting for an Adjunct (Part time) instructor to teach HVAC at our Terre Haute Campus. These are in-person classes and could be during the day or evening. A qualified candidate will need to meet the education component of the School of Advanced Manufacturing, Engineering & Applied Science discipline program standard which is listed in the Job Description.

Requirements

• Possesses an earned baccalaureate or higher degree, from a regionally accredited institution in technology, engineering, engineering technology; or an earned baccalaureate or higher degree directly related to the program’s discipline, and Possesses any specialized certifications required for the class being taught and program accreditation requirements, as applicable, and Two years of directly related work experience that is specifically linked to the competencies listed in the Curriculum of Record (COR);
• Possesses an earned baccalaureate or higher degree, from a regionally accredited institution, and Possesses any specialized certifications required for the class being taught and program accreditation requirements, as applicable, and Five years of directly related work experience that is specifically linked to the competencies listed in the Curriculum of Record (COR);
• Possesses an earned associate or higher degree, from a regionally accredited institution directly related to the program’s discipline, and Possesses any specialized certifications required for the class being taught and program accreditation requirements, as applicable, and Three years of directly related work experience that is specifically linked to the competencies listed in the Curriculum of Record (COR);
• Possesses a Department of Labor, Bureau for Apprenticeship Training recognized journeyman’s card in the discipline directly related to credentials, certifications, and competencies listed in the Curriculum of Record (COR), and in journeyperson status for two years or more with experience that is specifically linked to the competencies listed in the Curriculum of Record (COR);

Responsibilities

• Teach HVAC classes at the Terre Haute Campus.
• Meet the education component of the School of Advanced Manufacturing, Engineering & Applied Science discipline program standard.
• Meet program accreditation requirements, as applicable.
