About The Position

Lesley University is seeking applications for Adjunct Faculty to teach undergraduate Humanities courses, including Communications, Creative Writing, English, History, Public Speaking, and languages like Spanish, Portuguese, and American Sign Language. Courses cover foundational, general education, and major-level content. Instruction can be in-person or remote, depending on the course. Adjunct Faculty are hired on a regular basis to support Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters. Applications for this Evergreen position will be kept on file and reviewed as needed throughout the upcoming semesters for current and future adjunct roles within the Humanities department. Specific course assignments are subject to change based on semester, course catalog, and department needs.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Communications, Creative Writing, English, History, or a related field.
  • Master's degree in Spanish, Portuguese, or ASL is required for language courses.
  • Successful experience teaching at the undergraduate level in the particular discipline.
  • Experience in constructivist, inquiry-based learning with an emphasis on student engagement.
  • A CV/resume demonstrating teaching experience, professional activity, and/or service.

Nice To Haves

  • PhD or terminal degree.

Responsibilities
