About The Position
The History Department at Keene State College is seeking qualified applicants for an adjunct faculty position for Fall 2026 in Early Republic/Nineteenth-Century U.S. History. This is a part-time, non-benefitted position.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in history
- Peer-reviewed publication in early republic political history
- Expertise in early republic and 19th-century US political history
- Ability to teach a course in capitalism and slavery in the US, 1790-1850
Nice To Haves
- Experience teaching courses on American expansion in the antebellum period
- Experience teaching courses on capitalism and slavery, 1790-1850
- Experience teaching the history of Boston
Responsibilities
- Design and delivery course content for credit courses
- Prepare course materials
- Assess student learning
- Assign grades
- Refer students to support services
- Provide supplemental instruction and mentorship to students
- Abide with USNH and KSC policies
- Participate in appropriate departments/unit meetings
