About The Position

St. Edward's University, a nationally ranked, independent Catholic university and Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI), invites applications for an adjunct faculty appointment beginning Summer 2026. The successful candidate will teach and facilitate the culminating project for the Health Systems and Administration degree, the internship. Internships provide the opportunity to bring together the skills, knowledge and abilities to ready students for next steps after graduation. Adjunct positions are renewable, contingent upon need and performance. As appropriate to individual contracts, faculty will be expected. The successful candidate will facilitate student didactic and active learning in their health administration internships. This course involves teaching professionalism and career ready skills through regular teaching/learning across the internship semester. This is a 3-credit course.

Requirements

  • An undergraduate or graduate degree in the health professions.
  • Healthcare professionals (OTD, DPT, MPA, MSN) are encouraged to apply.
  • Interest in and ability or potential to teach undergraduate courses.
  • Ability to support a diverse student body.

Nice To Haves

  • Teaching experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Teach and facilitate the culminating project for the Health Systems and Administration degree, the internship.
  • Facilitate student didactic and active learning in their health administration internships.
  • Teach professionalism and career ready skills through regular teaching/learning across the internship semester.
  • Deliver course content to align with the Health Systems and Administration program requirements.
  • Collaborate with health sciences faculty for alignment of student learning.
  • Collaborate with the instructional design team for course material development.
  • Maintain subject specific competency and knowledge.
  • Help students acquire appropriate knowledge, skills, and attitudes required of healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain grade record for all assigned students.
  • Maintain student information in a confidential manner.
