About The Position

Strayer University is seeking a dynamic Adjunct Faculty member to join their academics team. This role involves teaching an online undergraduate/graduate level Health Services Administration class for the upcoming Summer quarter, starting July 6, 2025. The classes are on a 12-week quarter. Adjunct Faculty are expected to be instructors, coaches, and mentors, igniting a life-long love of learning in students and being flexible with diverse learning styles. A strong faculty-student relationship and building a community in the classroom are emphasized. Applications must include copies of unofficial transcripts for full consideration.

Requirements

Demonstrated knowledge of academic technology.
Demonstrated knowledge of academic evaluation.
Proficiency in oral presentation skills, planning, and organizing of course objectives.
Strong computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to manage potentially stressful situations in a professional and ethical manner.
Masters level degree in the discipline or professional certification in discipline specialty from a regionally accredited institution.
Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.
Must be able to lift 1 lb.
Mobility within the office includes movement from floor to floor.
Access information using a computer.
Effectively communicate, both up and down the management chain.
Effectively cope with stressful situations.
Strong mental acuity.

Nice To Haves

Teaching experience at the college level and online teaching experience are strongly preferred.
A terminal degree, or work towards a terminal degree, is preferred.
Professional certification in discipline specialty (if applicable).

Responsibilities

Teach courses as assigned from a pre-designed curriculum and utilize professional expertise to provide high-quality instruction.
Enhance the strength and effectiveness of the curriculum through the use of technology and videos.
Utilize the online learning platform to enrich the student learning experience.
Be available to students via email, phone, text, and office hours to ensure students receive quality feedback in a timely manner to support their academic success.
Establish high standards and ensure students understand how they will be evaluated.
Adhere to University policies and procedures.
Attend faculty meetings and workshops or training as required.
