About The Position
The English and Communications Department offers college-level composition and literature courses and college-preparatory reading and writing courses in the following formats: face-to-face, live online via Zoom, and asynchronous online. Adjunct instructors instruct students, develop curricula, assess student learning, participate in program evaluation, and maintain College and department standards.
Requirements
- Graduation from an institution that holds accreditation recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and approved by the College with a master’s degree in field or a master’s degree and 18 graduate hours in field (to teach college-level courses)
- Graduation from an institution that holds accreditation recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and approved by the College with a bachelor’s degree in field or a bachelor’s degree and 18 undergraduate hours in field (to teach college-preparatory courses)
- Successful results of a criminal background check
- Meet the requirements of § 435.04(2), Florida Statutes, related to background investigations
- Disclose any adverse information contained in the background investigation at the time of submitting the employment application
