About The Position

Emphasis will be placed on teaching students in person, on-campus classes in one or more of the following areas: ENGL 0510-English Learning Support, ENGL 1010-Composition I, ENGL 1020-Composition II, READ 0562-Reading Learning Support. Teaching locations may include all Roane State locations with emphasis on Lenoir City.

Requirements

• For ENGL 0510: Bachelor’s degree in English, English Education, Literature or Technical Writing from a regionally accredited institution.
• For ENGL 1010/1020: Master’s degree in a qualifying field (Creative Writing, English, Letters, or Literature), or Master’s degree with 18 hours in one of the aforementioned qualifying fields from a regionally accredited institution.
• For READ 0562: Bachelor’s degree in English, Reading, English Education, Adult Education or Reading Education from a regionally accredited institution.
• Demonstrated ability to teach traditional face-to-face classes.
• Use of technology (Zoom, D2L) to support student learning is expected.

Nice To Haves

• Previous teaching experience is desired.

Responsibilities
