About The Position

Saint Joseph’s College of Maine invites applications for an Online Adjunct Faculty member to teach Elementary Statistics as part of our online undergraduate core curriculum. This position requires an instructor dedicated to delivering rigorous quantitative instruction while supporting diverse student learning styles online.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Analytics, or a closely related quantitative field from an accredited institution
• Prior experience teaching statistics or quantitative reasoning in an online learning environment
• Demonstrated expertise using Learning Management Systems (LMS)
• Deep familiarity with online pedagogy and student engagement strategies

Nice To Haves

• Ph.D. preferred

Responsibilities

• Deliver online undergraduate instruction in Elementary Statistics
• Prepare course modules by making minor revisions as needed for ongoing course enhancement and updating required texts, software tools, or reading lists
• Maintain strict compliance with the Faculty Teaching Commitments for Student Success, the SJC Policy Guidebook, and the Faculty Handbook
• Manage and monitor the assigned official SJC email account for all college communications
• Execute approved ADA accommodations in full compliance with the College’s ADA Accommodations Officer to maintain an accessible learning environment
• Assist the Program Director with annual faculty performance evaluations
• Attend SJC Online Faculty meetings, departmental sessions, conference calls, and relevant workshops
• Actively support the Mission, Objectives, and Core Values of the Saint Joseph’s College community
