About The Position

This position is for Dual Credit instruction located at one of the ISDs. Teaching faculty are professional educators who have the primary responsibility of fulfilling the District mission of providing a quality education for all students attending the colleges. Categories include full-time, temporary with benefits, and temporary without benefits. Faculty members are responsible to a department/program chairperson; The relationship of the faculty member to the student is one of leader, teacher, advisor, and facilitator of learning. Faculty members will uphold the mission and values of the colleges’ and foster effective working relationships with students and colleagues.

Requirements

Must upload transcript(s) along with Resume/CV.
Must submit transcript(s) under "Other Documents" under applicant profile / Section 2 in the application.
Must include a copy of Nursing licenses for the State of Texas.
Must be a teacher with the designated Independent School District (ISD) affiliated with St. Philip's College.
Hold an associate’s degree and a current license as a Registered Nurse or vocational nurse with a current license or privilege to practice as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse in the State of Texas.
Agree to obtain an Associate's degree within three years of hire date.
Have been actively employed in nursing for at least three (3) years.
Have experience teaching and/or supervising nurse aides.
Work under the general supervision of the program director or be the program director.
Be a teacher with the designated Independent School District (ISD) affiliated with the college.
