About The Position

Through dynamic programming, local partnerships, and a welcoming environment, we’re building a community where education doesn’t just happen in the classroom—it happens everywhere, for everyone. The Community Education office is actively seeking enthusiastic and skilled instructors to lead non-credit classes designed for youth, teens, and families. Our current programs include seasonal camps, high school enrichment classes, and family-friendly offerings that encourage learning across generations. We are always looking to expand these opportunities and welcome new ideas that engage younger learners and families in fun, meaningful, and educational experiences. Requirements

Clear background check, along with substantiated subject-matter expertise , effective communication skills, and a commitment to inclusive, learner-centered instruction.
Documented record of successfully supporting learners in understanding and mastering new ideas and skills.
Competency and/or commitment to learn and use technologies commonly used in instruction at CLC: Microsoft Outlook for all email communications , additional Microsoft applications, common classroom projection technology, Canvas Learning Management System , enrollment software, etc.
Ability to work effectively and constructively with persons of diverse cultures, gender identities, language groups, and abilities; demonstrate sensitivity to and ability to work with the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, faculty, and staff, including those with disabilities; establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.

Nice To Haves

Two ( 2 ) years of successful, relevant teaching experience.
An appropriate credential or demonstrated mastery in the subject area(s) you are applying to teach, such as a degree from an accredited institution or a relevant industry certification or license.

Responsibilities

Develop and teach in the assigned subject(s) and level(s) in new or existing programs.
Fulfill administrative requirements, meet established deadline s and complete required training.
Stay current in compliance training, including compliance under Title IX “Responsible Employee” and, if applicable, Clery Act Campus Security Authority as a condition of employment.
Agree to and follow appropriate College and department policies and procedures.
