This part-time role involves teaching applied clarinet lessons to music majors, minors, and non-majors, with a focus on classical performance. Requirements

• Master's degree in Clarinet, or a closely related field
• Demonstrated excellence as a performer
• Experience teaching at the collegiate or advanced pre-college level
• Ability to work effectively with a diverse student population, including music majors, minors, and non-majors
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Teach individual clarinet lessons
• Support student development in technique, repertoire, and stylistic interpretation
• Prepare students for juries, recitals, studio classes, ensemble participation, and other performance requirements
• Collaborate with faculty and ensemble directors to align instruction with departmental and ensemble goals
