About The Position

St. Louis Community College is seeking qualified candidates to teach in-person Biotechnology courses during Summer 2026 and Fall 2026. Courses may be held at the Center for Plant and Life Sciences (BRDG Park) and/or the Meramec Campus. This is an onsite, in-person position located in the St. Louis, Missouri area. Candidates should apply only if they are able to be physically present and available to work onsite by the start date.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field
  • Minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in biotechnology or a closely related discipline

Nice To Haves

  • College-level teaching experience in biotechnology or a related field

Responsibilities

  • Deliver instruction for assigned biotechnology courses, including both lecture and laboratory components
  • Evaluate student performance and assign grades in accordance with college policies
  • Maintain accurate attendance and grading records; submit required documentation on time
  • Meet all scheduled class sessions
  • Use instructional technologies (e.g., Canvas, PowerPoint) to support student learning
  • Supervise and guide students in laboratory activities
