About The Position

Northern Essex Community College (NECC) is seeking an adjunct instructor for Human Biology (BIO101) for Fall 2026, to be delivered in-person on the Haverhill campus. The lecture portion meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:30 pm to 1:45 pm. This course is part of our Early College program. Additionally, NECC is accepting applications for a pool of Adjunct Faculty to teach various Biology courses, including Biology and Anatomy and Physiology, on an as-needed basis for the Fall 2026 semester and beyond. The positions will primarily involve day and evening face-to-face classes, potentially including Early College classes. Future opportunities for online or hybrid instruction may arise, requiring successful completion of mandatory training. Adjunct faculty play a critical role in the teaching and learning process, contributing to student success. Positions are contingent upon sufficient enrollment.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in a related field
  • Experience teaching in a related discipline at the college level
  • Experience using technology in instruction and assessment
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States
  • Successful completion and review of a background check (CORI and SORI)

Responsibilities

  • Teach assigned courses according to Academic Catalog description and established departmental student learning outcomes.
  • Adhere to all NECC policies and MCCC contract requirements, including policies regarding grading, deadlines, evaluation process, syllabus requirements, materials posted on the LMS, and required meetings.
