About The Position

Tulsa Community College is seeking a creative and engaging Arts & Crafts Instructor for Continuing Education courses. The instructor will lead non-credit, community-based classes focused on hands-on crafting skills and artistic expression in a welcoming and inclusive environment. Campus location is flexible. Course Types May Include: Crocheting, Knitting, Jewelry Making, Other arts, crafts, or DIY creative workshops.

Requirements

• Experience teaching or leading arts and crafts classes (crocheting, knitting, jewelry making, or related areas)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to engage and support learners in a community-based setting

Nice To Haves

• Formal training or certification in arts, crafts, or a related field (if applicable)

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead engaging, hands-on arts and crafts classes
• Create a welcoming and inclusive environment for adult learners of varying skill levels
• Demonstrate techniques clearly and provide step-by-step instruction
• Adapt lessons to meet the needs and interests of participants
• Ensure a safe and organized classroom or workspace
• Maintain professional communication with Continuing Education staff
