About The Position

Walsh University is seeking qualified candidates to teach Art History courses in the General Education program at Walsh University. Courses may include Art History 101 (general survey) as well as courses covering specific style periods (Medieval, Renaissance, etc). Candidates may teach 2-3 classes per semester.

Requirements

  • Must demonstrate an understanding the Walsh University Statement of Faith and a commitment to support the Mission, Vision, Values and Code of Ethical Conduct of Walsh University in accordance with Ex Corde Ecclesiae and the Catholic intellectual tradition
  • Master’s Degree required with at least 18 hours in Art History.
  • Professional demeanor and ability to interact with charity towards students, staff and faculty.
  • Positive attitude a must.
  • Read, understand, and clearly speak English; constantly use speech and hearing (correctable to normal level required) in communicating with students/co-workers/others, giving and receiving instructions, using phones
  • Must possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel in a professional and effective manner
