About The Position

College of DuPage is seeking an adjunct faculty member to teach Accountancy (Financial/Managerial). The successful candidate will facilitate and support student learning and success, address the individual educational needs of a unique, multicultural campus, and welcome working with students with diverse learning abilities.

Adjunct instructors plan and teach courses in classroom, lab, or clinical settings. Courses may be delivered face-to-face, online, in hybrid formats, or through blended formats. Instructors also evaluate students and submit required instructional paperwork accurately and on time. Teaching assignments may have flexible schedules, including days, evenings, and weekends. The position requires in-person availability at least two days per week on either Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday, with morning, afternoon, and/or evening availability. Course assignments are paid by stipends.

Requirements

• A master's degree in Accounting, or a master's degree plus 18 semester hours of graduate credit in Accounting.
• Licensed or registered CPA status.
• Availability to teach in person at least two days per week, Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday, during morning, afternoon, and/or evening hours.
• Access to personal technology, including a home computer with the appropriate capability to teach online.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment background check, at the College's expense.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to teach remotely using technology.
• Experience in online or virtual teaching.

Responsibilities

• Plan and teach Accountancy (Financial/Managerial) courses in classroom, lab, or clinical settings.
• Deliver courses through face-to-face, online, hybrid, and/or blended formats as assigned.
• Facilitate and support student success in learning, including in a multicultural environment and with students with diverse learning abilities.
