About The Position

Phillips Community College of the University of Arkansas (PCCUA) is seeking an Adjunct, English Instructor to teach Composition I or II and any accompanying labs. This in-person, on-campus role will also assist with recruiting and retention efforts, as well as campus and college activities, projects, and committees to further the mission of the college. PCCUA is a multi-campus, two-year college serving Eastern Arkansas with campuses in DeWitt, Helena-W. Helena, and Stuttgart, offering academic, occupational/technical, and continuing education programs.

Requirements

• Experience and ability to conduct coursework online.
• Experience utilizing course delivery platforms such as Blackboard.
• Ability to conduct virtual/online labs.
• Ability to integrate technology into instruction to meet the needs of students from a variety of backgrounds.
• Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.

Nice To Haves

• Master's degree in English, rhetoric or closely related field.

Responsibilities

• Assist with recruiting and retention efforts.
