About The Position

The University of Arkansas System is seeking an Adjunct, Construction/Manufacturing Instructor for Phillips Community College of the University of Arkansas (PCCUA). PCCUA is a multi-campus, two-year college serving Eastern Arkansas with academic, occupational/technical, and continuing education programs. This position is part of the Workforce Training department and involves teaching, developing, and updating construction and manufacturing courses. The instructor will also cover health, safety, and environmental compliance regulations, prepare students for employment, and assist with program recruiting.

Requirements

  • 3 years experience in manufacturing and or construction.
  • Computer skills including Word, Excel, Power Point.
  • Auto CAD/ blue print reading or equivalent is necessary.
  • Other skills including but not limited to CNC, HVAC/R, Sheet metal fabrication, machine shop technology, PLC programing.
  • Basic carpentry skills including table saws, band saws, shapers, routers and other power and hand tools.
  • Other qualifications include forklift operation, heavy equipment, safety and sanitation.
  • Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in a construction / manufacturing related field.
