About The Position

Bushnell University is interviewing for positions for our Adjunct Instructor, Exercise Science pool. A Doctorate is preferred, but will consider a Master's degree with significant experience in the particular field of teaching. We are interested in both graduate and undergraduate instructors. This position requires a strong commitment to multiculturalism and diversity. Candidates must have a vibrant and maturing Christian faith. Application materials must include a personal Statement of Faith that addresses how a maturing Christian faith finds expression in the candidate’s personal life, family life, community life, local church membership, and academic discipline (both inside and outside the classroom). Requirements

  • Doctorate preferred, Master's degree with significant experience in the field of teaching considered.
  • Strong commitment to multiculturalism and diversity.
  • Vibrant and maturing Christian faith.
  • Actively engaged in a Christian congregation.
  • Able to identify with and support the Bushnell Theological Context for Community statement.
  • Working in a non-smoking, drug free environment.
  • Strong ability to communicate effectively and succinctly, both verbally and in writing, utilizing tact, patience and courtesy.
  • Listening skills and the ability to speak and write clearly.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • High personal motivation, with great attention to detail and accuracy.
  • High ethics of honesty and confidentiality.
  • May require lifting up to 25 lbs, as well as bending, stooping, kneeling.

Responsibilities

  • Teach Exercise Science courses at the graduate and undergraduate levels.
