About The Position

Bushnell University is interviewing for positions for our Adjunct Instructor, Criminal Justice pool. A Doctorate is preferred, but will consider a Master's degree with significant experience in the particular field of teaching. We are interested in both graduate and undergraduate instructors. This position requires a strong commitment to multiculturalism and diversity. Candidates must have a vibrant and maturing Christian faith. Application materials must include a personal Statement of Faith that addresses how a maturing Christian faith finds expression in the candidate’s personal life, family life, community life, local church membership, and academic discipline (both inside and outside the classroom).

Requirements

  • Doctorate preferred, Master's degree with significant experience in the field of teaching considered.
  • Strong commitment to multiculturalism and diversity.
  • Vibrant and maturing Christian faith.
  • Actively engaged in a Christian congregation.
  • Able to identify with and support the Bushnell Theological Context for Community statement.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and succinctly, both verbally and in writing, utilizing tact, patience and courtesy.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • High personal motivation, with great attention to detail and accuracy.
  • High ethics of honesty and confidentiality.
  • Genuine and gracious presence pertaining to students, faculty, staff, and the business of the department and the University.
  • Completion of a criminal background investigation.
  • Submission of a personal Statement of Faith addressing specific sections.
  • Submission of contact information for three references, preferably including the applicant's pastor or other appropriate church leader.
  • Submission of official transcripts (unofficial accepted with application, official required for interview).
