About The Position

Oakland Community College (OCC) is a student-centered community college in Oakland County, Michigan, dedicated to providing accessible and affordable quality learning opportunities. As one of the largest community colleges in Michigan, OCC serves over 12,000 students across multiple campuses. OCC is looking for Adjunct Faculty Instructors who are committed to diversity, shared responsibility, open communication, personal empowerment, integrity, and ethical conduct. A key requirement for Adjunct Faculty is the commitment to integrating modern technology into their teaching. Applications are kept on file continuously for adjunct positions, and instructors are hired as enrollment needs dictate throughout the academic year. When a need arises, candidates from the pool are reviewed, and the department will contact them directly. Candidates not residing in Michigan will be employed through Edustaff, with employment offers, salary, and benefits managed by Edustaff, not OCC. Applicants must include a resume, cover letter, and unofficial transcripts for all degrees mentioned in the minimum education and experience section. Transcripts must show the degree conferral date, and official transcripts will be required within 30 days of hire if selected.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Arabic
• Commitment to using modern technology in the classroom.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with multi-cultural students and staff preferred.
• Ability to work as a team player in a multi-cultural working environment.
• Online teaching experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Primary responsibility will be to teach anticipated day and/or evening Arabic courses, which range from basic to advanced skill levels.
• Where applicable, adjuncts are required to maintain and/or provide licensure and certifications.
