About The Position
Livingstone College is seeking a dynamic, skilled, and resourceful Adjunct Accompanist and Music Instructor to join our music faculty. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in collaborative piano. This position requires a commitment to providing high-quality accompaniment for undergraduate applied lessons, rehearsals, and recitals. Preference will be given to candidates with a master’s degree in music. Strong sight read and interpersonal skills are required.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in music, Performance or a related field; Doctorate preferred.
- Experience accompanying people of various skill levels and instruments.
- Strong sight read and interpersonal skills are required.
Nice To Haves
- Preference will be given to candidates with a master’s degree in music.
Responsibilities
- Accompany vocal and instrumental music majors for lessons, rehearsals, and student recitals.
- Accompany College Choir rehearsals and performances as needed
- Demonstrate commitment to growth of the musical arts in the Livingstone College Music and Theater Arts Department and wider Salisbury community.
- Other duties as assigned.
