Our client located in Gatineau, a growing company specializing in commercial and industrial construction, as well as property management, is looking for a dynamic, rigorous, and versatile person to support all of its administrative and financial operations.

Requirements

  • Hold a DEC in accounting, administration, or a related field
  • Possess a minimum of five (5) years of experience in a similar role
  • Have experience in the construction or property management field
  • Master Acomba Construction and the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Have a good knowledge of the requirements of the CNESST, CCQ, WSIB, and ACQ
  • Demonstrate excellent organizational skills and a strong ability to manage priorities
  • Be autonomous, discreet, and professional
  • Be able to communicate in French and English

Responsibilities

  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Prepare payments for suppliers and subcontractors
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations
  • Enter accounting data into Acomba Construction
  • Prepare monthly GST and QST reports
  • Produce T4s, Relevé 1s, and T5018 forms
  • Prepare year-end files for the accounting firm
  • Verify and process timesheets
  • Prepare payroll data
  • Produce reports for the CCQ, CNESST, and WSIB
  • Ensure administrative follow-up of employee files
  • Open construction sites in Quebec and Ontario
  • Prepare prevention programs and ensure follow-up of H&S documents
  • Ensure administrative follow-up of subcontractors and contractual holdbacks
  • Prepare releases and payment certificates
  • Invoice projects completed in Quebec and Ontario
  • Track vehicle licenses, registrations, and insurance
  • Coordinate annual inspections
  • Ensure management of equipment inspection logs
  • Track tool inventory
  • Participate in the administration of several companies and commercial properties
  • Track rents, common area fees, and payments
  • Ensure renewal of insurance and maintenance contracts
  • Coordinate annual inspections
  • Obtain and analyze various quotes
  • Track accounts receivable and collections
  • Prepare bank reconciliations and quarterly GST/QST reports
  • Prepare year-end financial documents for the accountant
