About The Position

Intertek, a leading provider of quality and safety solutions, is seeking an Additives Technician to join their Caleb Brett team in Deer Park, TX. This role offers a career in the inspections industry, specifically within specialized Cargo inspection and analytical assessment services for the oil and gas, chemical, and commodities markets. The Additives Technician is responsible for safely performing fuel additive treatments and delivering chemicals to vessels, terminals, and pipelines. This includes driving company trucks, handling chemicals, operating pumps, and completing accurate job paperwork. Most jobs are local, with occasional out-of-state travel as needed, estimated at 25% to 50% of the time.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Must meet DOT driving and safety requirements
• Ability to work on-call and flexible hours (24/7 on-call schedule)
• Must be able to travel (mostly local, some out-of-state)
• Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record is required
• Must have or be able to obtain a TWIC card
• Ability to lift, climb, and work at heights
• Comfortable working outdoors in different weather conditions
• Lift 50 lbs. (minimum)
• Reside in and be able to legally work in the United States

Nice To Haves

• Experience in oil and gas, chemical handling, or field services
• Experience operating pumps or similar equipment
• Strong safety awareness and work habits

Responsibilities

• Perform additive injections on vessels, at terminals, and pipelines
• Drive company trucks to transport and deliver chemicals
• Load, unload, and transfer chemicals safely
• Set up and operate pumps, hoses, and injection equipment
• Complete all required paperwork, including BOLs and delivery tickets
• Follow DOT, safety, and company rules at all times
• Communicate with coordinators, customers, and terminal personnel
• Inspect and maintain trucks, trailers, and equipment
• Travel to job sites (mostly local, some out-of-state)
• Work long and flexible hours based on job demands
