About The Position

Intertek, a leading provider of quality and safety solutions, is seeking an Additive Technician to join their Caleb Brett/Additives Division team in Deer Park, TX. Intertek Caleb Brett specializes in cargo inspection and analytical assessment services for the oil and gas, chemical, and commodities markets, leveraging a global network and over 130 years of customer service. They are committed to innovation and providing Total Quality Assurance. The Additive Technician will be responsible for safely performing fuel additive treatments on vessels, terminals, and pipelines, which involves handling chemicals, operating pumps, and completing job paperwork. While most jobs are local, occasional out-of-state travel is expected, with the position requiring 25% to 50% travel out of state. The role operates on a 24/7 on-call schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and requires the employee to be able to reach the Deer Park, TX location within 30 minutes of contact when on duty.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• No experience required (training provided)
• Ability to work on-call and flexible hours
• 24/7 on-call schedule
• Must be able to travel (primarily local, some out-of-state)
• Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record is required
• Must have or be able to obtain a TWIC card
• Ability to lift, climb, and work at heights
• Comfortable working outdoors in different weather conditions
• Lift 50 lbs. (minimum)
• Must reside in and be able to legally work in the United States

Nice To Haves

• Experience in oil and gas, chemical handling, or field services
• Experience operating pumps or similar equipment
• Strong safety awareness and work habits

Responsibilities

• Perform additive injections on vessels, at terminals, and pipelines
• Set up and operate pumps, hoses, and injection equipment
• Safely handle and transfer chemicals
• Load and deliver chemicals using company vehicles (CDL required if applicable)
• Complete all job paperwork, including BOLs and delivery documents
• Communicate with coordinators, customers, and terminal personnel
• Follow all safety rules and company procedures
• Inspect and maintain equipment and vehicles
• Travel to job sites, mostly local with some out-of-state assignments
• Work flexible hours based on job demand
