About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is a nationwide network of drug and alcohol rehab centers with 18 locations across 7 states, known for its evidence-based clinical curriculum and highly individualized care. The Addictions Therapist will be responsible for creating individualized, evidence-based treatment plans, conducting individual, group, family, and couple therapy sessions, and managing all clinical needs, services, and aftercare for their client caseload. This role also involves preventing, intervening, and de-escalating crises, maintaining impeccable documentation of client progress and interventions, and collaborating with the Clinical Director, treatment team, and family for seamless coordination of care. The therapist is expected to model ethics, morality, and recovery principles in every professional interaction. The position is located at Avenues Recovery Center at Bucks, a community-based, residential-style outpatient drug and alcohol rehab program that partners with Crosswalk Sober Living to provide treatment in a domestic setting with 24/7 supervision and care. The facility is staffed by skilled therapists, nurse practitioners, addiction counselors, and behavioral health technicians.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in psychology, counseling or related field required
Excellent observational, collaborative and interpersonal skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
Compassionate, dignified character which models recovery principles
Ability to set strong boundaries and maintain absolute confidentiality

Nice To Haves

Master's degree preferred
Valid state licensure necessary to practice in this role preferred

Responsibilities

Create individualized, evidence-based treatment plans for each client
Conduct individual, group, family and couple therapy sessions
Take responsibility for all clinical needs, services, and aftercare for your client caseload
Prevent, intervene and de-escalate in event of a crisis
Maintain impeccable documentation of client challenges, progress, relapse risk, and intervention
