Addictions Support Worker
About The Position
This role focuses on providing specialized client services in accordance with Supported Lifestyles Ltd.’s mission, philosophy, agency, and position standards. The position involves utilizing highly developed behavioral intervention skills daily to support individuals through community integration, skill learning, and enhancing their quality of life. Key aspects include providing behavioral and emotional support, data collection and analysis, and implementing/developing behavioral support plans. The role also entails participating in community and recreational activities with clients.
Requirements
- A diploma in a related field (e.g. Human Services, Social Work, Psychology etc.) or a degree in any discipline from a recognized post-secondary institution is required
- Experience working with developmental disabilities and/or mental health challenges
- Experience providing behavioural supports to clients
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Own Vehicle with a Valid Class 5 License is required
Nice To Haves
- Post-secondary education in a related field is an asset

- Providing client assistance (i.e. behavioural and emotional support, data collection and data analysis, implementation/development of behavioural support plans)
- Participating in community and recreational pursuits with clients
