Requirements

  • 1 to 3 years of experience working with individuals experiencing substance use disorders preferred.
  • Knowledge of addiction treatment models, recovery strategies, and behavioral health principles.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and crisis-management skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.
  • Proficiency with documentation and electronic health record systems.
  • CADC credential required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience facilitating group therapy sessions.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care and motivational interviewing techniques.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Strong organizational and case management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate support groups and therapeutic workshops.
  • Coordinate referrals to external services such as medical providers, mental health professionals, housing assistance, or rehabilitation programs.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and screenings to evaluate clients’ substance use history, mental health status, and treatment needs.
  • Develop individualized treatment and recovery plans in collaboration with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Provide individual, group, and family counseling focused on addiction recovery and behavioral health.
  • Educate clients and families about substance abuse, relapse prevention, coping strategies, and recovery resources.
  • Support clients during crisis situations and provide appropriate intervention when necessary.
  • Stay current with best practices, treatment methodologies, and regulatory requirements related to substance use treatment.
  • Monitor client progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential client records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
