About The Position
As a member of the Interdisciplinary Team and under the general direction of the Out-of-Scope Manager, the Addiction Counsellor Degree is responsible for the day-to-day client service delivery (development, implementation, delivery, and assists with evaluation) of Addiction Services. Performs clinical case management, community/program education, and community/program development.
Requirements
- Degree in Addiction Counseling
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
- Bachelor of Human Services is acceptable
- Advanced - Case management skills
- Ability to work flexible hours
- Knowledge in substance abuse and addictions, including cause and effect
- Knowledge in individual, family, group, and crisis counselling methods
- Knowledge in program development and implementation
- Knowledge of crisis and suicide intervention and prevention programs
- Travel required
