About The Position

Dedicated to excellence, North Star is accredited by The Joint Commission. Details Position: Adult Addiction Psychiatrist + Service Line Directorship (optional). Setting: Mostly inpatient with optional available OP, PHP, or RTC volume available if interested. Focus on patients: Complete initial psychiatric evaluations, assessments, discharges, patient documentation, treatment team meetings, and daily care of assigned patients. Setting: Mostly inpatient with optional available OP, PHP, or RTC volume available if interested. Flexible scheduling options: Open to variations of block scheduling or Monday-Friday. Minimal call/weekend coverage: 1:5 Saturday/Sunday rounding and once per week evening call (phone only). Requirements

  • MD/DO degree from an accredited program required.
  • BE or BC General Psychiatry through ABPN required.
  • BE or BC Addiction Psychiatry through ABPN or equivalent previous experience is preferred.
  • Licensed to practice in the State of AK or the ability to obtain an AK medical license.
  • Meets all credentialing criteria required by participating physicians.
