Under the clinical supervision of the Director of Addiction Medicine, the Addiction Provider is primarily responsible for the management of intoxication and withdrawal states, the initiation and monitoring of Medically Assisted Treatment, and the evaluation and management of addiction-related medical and psychiatric problems. The Addiction Provider is responsible for conducting medical histories, performing physical examinations, applying screening tools, ordering and interpreting laboratory tests, and completing standard documentation related to the treatment of addiction. They are responsible for working in collaboration with medical and behavioral health staff in our Central Intake Department, Withdrawal Management Program, and Residential and Outpatient Programs. They provide direct patient care within HealthRIGHT 360’s Central Intake Department, Withdrawal Management Program, and/or Residential Programs. The Addiction Provider may also provide supervision for Advanced Practice Providers in Collaborative Agreements, providing input in the clinical review, performance appraisal, peer review and hiring and termination of such staff. The IAP also supervises the MAT healthcare treatment team in the absence of the Director of Addiction Medicine. This supervision may include managing Medical Assistants and Nurse functions. The position may require after hours work in assisting Behavioral Health staff during the night and on weekends.
