About The Position

Recovery Works NW is a family-owned community organization dedicated to addressing substance use and mental health-related distress through innovative, judgement-free, and compassionate solutions. We employ an interdisciplinary approach to treatment, focusing on building therapeutic alliances, incorporating lived-experience perspectives, and collaborating with community partners. This is an in-person position at our Portland Office, supporting an expansive Sublocade Program alongside other forms of Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT). The role includes support from front/back office staff, dedicated medical assistants, recovery peers, and a full behavioral health department. Patients will have internal access to our full continuum of care, including referrals to our detox clinic. We foster a positive and collaborative work environment with an emphasis on individualized patient care and harm-reduction strategies.

Requirements

  • Active state license with prescriptive privileges (MD, DO, NP, or PA).
  • Experience in Addiction Medicine/MAT (required).
  • 1 year of experience prescribing buprenorphine (Required).
  • Must pass an OHA Background check.
  • Must successfully complete a urine analysis (UA) after accepting the job offer.

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year of experience with Sublocade injection.

Responsibilities

  • Provide medical services for patients with substance use and mental health-related distress.
  • Administer and manage Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), including Sublocade injections.
  • Prescribe buprenorphine.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including front/back office staff, medical assistants, recovery peers, and behavioral health professionals.
  • Provide individualized patient care with an emphasis on harm reduction.
  • Refer patients to the detox clinic and other services within the continuum of care as needed.
