About The Position

Recovery Works NW is a family-owned community organization dedicated to addressing substance use and mental health-related distress through innovative, judgement-free, and compassionate solutions. We employ an interdisciplinary approach to treatment, focusing on building therapeutic alliances, incorporating lived-experience perspectives, and collaborating with community partners. This is an in-person position at our Portland Office, supporting an expansive Sublocade Program alongside other forms of Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT). The role includes support from front/back office staff, dedicated medical assistants, recovery peers, and a full behavioral health department. Patients will have internal access to our full continuum of care, including referrals to our detox clinic. We foster a positive and collaborative work environment with an emphasis on individualized patient care and harm-reduction strategies.

Requirements

Active state license with prescriptive privileges (MD, DO, NP, or PA).
Experience in Addiction Medicine/MAT (required).
1 year of experience prescribing buprenorphine (Required).
Must pass an OHA Background check.
Must successfully complete a urine analysis (UA) after accepting the job offer.

Nice To Haves

1 year of experience with Sublocade injection.

Responsibilities

Provide medical services for patients with substance use and mental health-related distress.
Administer and manage Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), including Sublocade injections.
Prescribe buprenorphine.
Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including front/back office staff, medical assistants, recovery peers, and behavioral health professionals.
Provide individualized patient care with an emphasis on harm reduction.
Refer patients to the detox clinic and other services within the continuum of care as needed.
