The Department of Mental Health (DMH) is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse for full-time (40 hours) positions on all shifts. This role involves working with individuals experiencing drug and alcohol substance issues, including assessing client conditions, administering medication, monitoring detoxification, and providing direct nursing care and education. The ideal candidate will possess strong therapeutic interpersonal skills to encourage and motivate individuals in their recovery towards treatment goals. This is an open and continuous posting, and candidates will remain active for up to 90 days. Selected candidates must attend a three-week orientation during the first shift (Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm). Employees in this position will be required to perform mandatory overtime. The Recovery from Addictions Program (RAP) operates a statewide program for individuals civilly committed by the courts for substance use treatment for up to 90 days, providing acute detoxification and early clinical stabilization services.
