About The Position

This role involves supporting Chattanooga Goodwill's Mission, Vision, and Values through actions and decisions that align with organizational guiding principles. The position requires maintaining confidentiality of agency, employee, and participant information, with violations potentially leading to termination. Punctual and dependable attendance is essential. The attendant will follow the GRATIS model in interactions with donors: Greet donors at their vehicle, hand out receipts, assist with unloading donations, thank donors, and invite them back. Responsibilities include sorting donations into approved equipment and categories, accurately recording daily donation counts, ensuring donation receipts are signed and dated, and providing excellent customer service while directing complaints to management. The role also requires consistently performing work tasks according to training, abiding by Goodwill policies and procedures, ensuring the security of company assets and donations, effectively communicating with management, peers, and donors, promoting cooperation and teamwork, assisting with loading and unloading of Goodwill trucks and trailers, maintaining a neat and organized work area, adhering to safety and security practices, and attending required training and meetings. Other duties and projects may be assigned.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Support Chattanooga Goodwill’s Mission, Vision, and Values.
  • Maintain agency, employee, and participant confidentiality.
  • Ensure punctual and dependable attendance.

  • Thank donors for their donations and invite them back.

  • Record every donation received on the daily donation count sheet and report accurate counts.
  • Provide excellent customer service to donors while directing complaints to management.
  • Consistently perform work tasks according to training, e-learning, and work instructions.
  • Abide by the policies and procedures as set forth by Goodwill.
  • Ensure the security of all company assets and donations.
  • Effectively communicate with management, peers, and donors.
  • Effectively promote and demonstrate cooperation and teamwork with peers.
  • Assist in loading and unloading of Goodwill trucks and trailers.
  • Maintain a neat, clean, and organized work area at all times.
  • Adhere to safety and security practices including reporting safety hazards and injuries to management.
  • Attend and complete all training and meetings as required.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
