About The Position

The ADAS Engineer will be responsible for applying new autonomous system solutions and technologies on semi or full autonomous systems. This role involves decomposing customer requirements into system-level requirements (hardware and software), managing these requirements in DevOps, and collaborating with Machine System teams to integrate autonomous features. The engineer will ensure clear documentation and traceability, serve as a subject matter expert for Surface Loading Machine Autonomous Solutions, and communicate system readiness and technical risks to stakeholders. The role focuses on developing system integration requirements for multiple systems within an autonomous machine, considering onboard electronic systems, process, and people interactions. The incumbent must be detail-oriented, work well with others, and make sound decisions regarding trade-offs between time, resources, and quality.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of experience
  • A Bachelor’s degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • Proven ability to work on production products through design, implementation, customer rollout, and support.
  • Ability to decompose complex customer requirements into achievable technical requirements for the systems that make up the product.
  • Knowledge and experience with Autonomous Systems
  • Experience with systems integration over CAN and Ethernet
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Applying new autonomous system solutions and technologies on a semi or full autonomous system
  • Decomposition of Customer requirements into (L6) system level requirements including both hardware and software related requirements
  • Managing system level requirements and related features in DevOps
  • Work closely with Machine System teams (L6) to determine the best way to deliver on machine autonomous features, including component selection and system integration
  • Ensure clear documentation and traceability.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for Surface Loading Machine Autonomous Solutions
  • Communicates system readiness and technical risk to stakeholders
  • Responsible for helping to define the requirements and architecture for bringing an autonomous machine system together.
  • Primarily focus on developing the system integration requirements for multiple systems within an autonomous machine within the Loading, Dozing & Compaction Application Team.
  • Communicate the Why’s and develop the How’s of agreed features with a global team.
  • Clearly document the details for the system and ensure understanding and compliance with each subsystem team.
  • Communicate designs and tradeoffs with stakeholders at multiple levels.
