About The Position
We are looking for a certified adaptive group fitness instructor who loves what they do and also knows that a group exercise class can engage a member like nothing else! An instructor who understands that connecting with members in class can inspire and set members on a track to a healthier life!
Requirements
- 18 years of age and high school diploma or equivalent.
- YMCA Foundations of Group Exercise certification with experience or National certification.
- Specializing in Adaptive Group Fitness
- Exhibit strong leadership skills; possess a passion for member service, building and maintaining a culture of member service excellence
Responsibilities
- Set an example of healthy living and personal fitness.
- Prepare routines and/or choreography within YMCA standards.
- Provide support and encouragement to members and reinforce healthy lifestyles.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of members and staff. Notify supervisor of any safety hazards or concerns within the facility.
- Provide excellent service to all members and notify supervisor of member needs, supplies or other items needed to ensure program quality and member satisfaction.
- Ensure that safe movement and technique is utilized by every member in all classes.
- Maintain knowledge of emergency and safety procedures and maintain records on any incidents.
