Carolina School Services is seeking a passionate and dedicated Adapted Physical Education (APE) Teacher to provide high-quality, individualized physical education services to students with disabilities throughout the Charlotte area. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping students improve motor skills, physical fitness, confidence, and participation in school activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physical Education, Adapted Physical Education, or a related field.
• Valid North Carolina teaching license with Adapted Physical Education certification or eligibility.
• Ability to travel between school locations as needed.

• Experience working with children with disabilities in school or pediatric settings is preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Adapted Physical Education evaluations and assessments.
• Develop and implement individualized APE programs aligned with IEP goals.
• Provide direct APE services to students in school and community settings.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, school staff, and families.
• Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and compliance records.
• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions.
• Adapt equipment, activities, and environments to support student success.
