Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Children’s National offers psychiatric evaluation and assessment, as well as diagnosis and care for children and teens with behavioral symptoms, and emotional and developmental disorders. This role is responsible for independent clinical practice, providing individual, family, and/or group psychotherapy with children, adolescents, and their parents. The position involves the evaluation and assessment of children/adolescents mental health needs including psychiatric diagnoses and treatment recommendations, and providing referrals for services as indicated. It also includes collaborative consultation to the Attending psychiatrist regarding the child/adolescent functioning and progress. This is a full-time weekday position in outpatient psychiatry providing individual and family therapy with children, adolescents, and their parents.
