About The Position

ChristianaCare is hiring a full time Acute Service Specialist for our Emergency Service Administration Department in Newark, DE. ChristianaCare delivers superior, around-the-clock emergency and trauma services to Delaware and the surrounding region, caring for more than 225,000 patients annually across multiple hospital and emergency department locations. Recognized as one of the busiest emergency systems in the nation, our team is committed to transforming care through innovative, patient-first approaches that improve efficiency, reduce wait times, and enhance the overall patient experience. As Delaware’s only Level I trauma center for adults and children, ChristianaCare provides the highest level of emergency care, supported by experienced clinical teams and a comprehensive network of services available 24/7. The ideal candidate will have strong calendar management experience, exceptional organizational skills, and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. This individual should have experience managing or supporting payroll processes, including tracking employee hours with a high level of accuracy. A keen attention to detail, ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and commitment to maintaining precise and organized records are essential for success in this role.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree required.

Responsibilities

  • The Acute Services Specialist provides comprehensive administrative and operational support to physicians, fellows, and academic programs.
  • This role is responsible for timekeeping, payroll coordination, compliance reporting, effort tracking, and system maintenance across multiple platforms.
  • The position plays a critical role in ensuring accuracy, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency within both clinical and academic environments.
