About The Position

This is a full-time position that supports adults who have developmental disabilities or Autism and a mental health crisis. This is a unique opportunity to gain a broad level of experience in the fields of developmental needs and mental health. The role involves maintaining a stable environment for adults with developmental disabilities.

Requirements

Three to four years of experience in a human services or combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skill has been acquired
High school degree or equivalent
Routine lifting
Valid driver's license, and use of a personal vehicle
Ability to work either Saturday or Sunday
Experience with de escalation techniques
Committed to trauma-informed approach
Person centered

Responsibilities

Initiate constructive activities that address goals on a client's Individual Support Agreement (treatment plan)
Implement the support and crisis plans (utilizing Therapeutic Options training), in collaboration with the greater treatment team.
Facilitate community inclusion, daily living, and skill acquisition
Utilization of sound judgement and maintenance of clam demeanor during crisis
Provide needed behavioral and/or mental health support
Provide needed personal and/or medical care
